BODYWORK

Whilst the body styling of the RANA RS is obviously influenced by the halcyon days of yesteryear, the laminating techniques employed are right up to date using the latest materials.

The road going version of the RANA RS is fitted with an opening bootlid giving access to the sparewheel and good sized luggage compartment.

For the ultimate track day/ racecar we offer the racesnake option which reduces the body weight by around 40% with an enhanced structural strength. Track performance is further aided by the low drag co-efficient body styling which includes a totally flat full length undertray to provide useful downforce that can be increased further with the addition of optional splitters and other aerodynamic aids.

CHASSIS

The RANA RS employs a bespoke round tube spaceframe chassis with built in crumple zone and side intrusion bars, In addition to the well known torsional rigidity provided by a well designed spaceframe construction the RANA RS takes this one step further with the employment of OCD (Opposing Complimentary Deltoid) Technology which dampens out harmonic distortion forces transmitted through the spaceframe from the road wheels.

For vehicles destined for use in motorsport a significant weight saving can be gained from specifying a chassis built up in the thin wall race tubing.

The standard RANA RS is designed to utilise engines from the ford Zetec and Duratec range, though we can easily build customers chassis to accommodate the engine of their choice.

Baseline kit (Limited period only)

This kit includes chassis, 8 wishbones & bearings, wiring loom, suspension, hinges &door catches, bodywork, floor panels, lights, fasteners  & sealants required for assembly.

This package allows you to get a car built and running with the addition of the donor items from the Ford parts bin (we can supply all these items if required). Extra option packs are available to complete your build to a higher standard as desired.
